Out of respect for other visitors and the animals, please pay attention to and abide by the following rules:

NO SMOKING inside OR NEAR our gates please.
Please do not let children run after or chase animals, especially the little dogs.
Do not pick up the animals, especially the little dog.
Respect and be aware of other guests and what is going on around you. Please encourage kids to be respectful and not scream excessively and be a nuisance. This may startle the animals and no one enjoys hearing kids screaming excessively.
Children must be supervised at all times. No children under 10 are allowed on the deck at the pond without an adult for safety reasons.
Older children and adults are not allowed in the bounce houses, they are for small children.
This is a sanctuary, it is the animal's home. Screaming, running and loud behavior around the animals will not be tolerated. Please teach children to be respectful and quiet around the animals and other guests for them to have the best experience. Screaming and running is fine in the play areas or away from the animals, please make sure the kids aren't scaring the animals or annoying other guests. We definitely want them to have fun!
We are not responsible for anything lost, broken, stolen, or left behind. If you do lose something, we keep a \"lost & found\" box- just send an email or call/text and we can let you know if we found what you're missing and we'll mail it to you.
Please give credit to photos being taken at the sanctuary and tag us on social media @rootervillesanctuary. NO PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY or sale of pictures of our animals without permission.
Rooterville is a family-friendly establishment. Suggestive, obscene and/or inappropriate clothing or language will not be allowed. Please use discretion and dress modestly (closed toe shoes are best). Foul language will not be tolerated. Anyone using obscene or abusive language will be asked to leave with no refund.
DO NOT tease or irritate our animals. This is THEIR HOME, you are a guest in their home, treat them like you would want your pet treated. Anyone harassing, teasing or behaving inappropriately toward any of our animals will be shown the gate. NO REFUNDS for bad behavior.
We recommend long pants and closed-toe shoes for your safety. You will be in contact with animals and will likely get dirty. Flip flops and shorts are strongly discouraged, especially for the kids.
Dresses and skirts are discouraged, you will be interacting with animals that have tusks and though none are aggressive, a bump from a tusk on a leg could cause an injury. You are welcome to bring a change of clothes and use our restroom to change. Pants are the best option for a cuddle experience as you will likely want to sit with the cows..
Strong perfumes may cause the animals to avoid you, we want you to smell great but please wait til after your visit to put on perfume or cologne or keep it light.
Smiling, laughing and having a great time is mandatory! We love our visitors and can't wait to share our beautiful, peaceful place and our happy animals with you!

Please DO NOT go near the wagons or farmhouse as guests may be staying in them, please respect their space. If you want to look inside, ask us if you can and we're happy to let you see them if there are no guests staying in them at that time.

We're looking forward to your visit! ALL proceeds from your stay and/or experiences help us care for the animals at Rooterville Animal Sanctuary like little Ginger and her big pal Bearl. They rely on the revenue from our stays and experiences to make sure no one goes hungry so it is super important when you book with us that you show up. If you can't make it, please give someone else the opportunity to book your stay or experience by giving us 5 or more days' notice that you can't make it.
In the event of a cancellation, your non-refundable amount will become a donation.

Admission Tickets: Non-refundable except for bad weather. Rescheduling is allowed.
Experiences: Refundable or Reschedulable due to weather, your choice. Non-refundable up to 3 days prior to your date. 50% Refundable 4-5 days prior and 100% refundable 6 or more days prior to your scheduled experience.
RV stays are 100% refundable or reschedulable in the event of severe weather. Cancellations are non-refundable up to 3 days prior to your date. Cancellations are 50% Refundable 4-5 days prior and 100% refundable 6 or more days prior to your scheduled date.
Wagon and Farm House stays are 100% refundable or reschedulable in the event of severe weather. Cancellations are non-refundable up to 3 days prior to scheduled date, except for cleaning fee and taxes, which are 100% refundable. Cancellations are 50% refundable 4-5 days prior to scheduled date and 100% refundable 6 or more days prior to scheduled date. Cleaning fees and taxes are 100% refundable
Cleaning fees and taxes are refundable in the event of a cancellation. Non-refundable stays will become donations and be tax deductible as allowed by law.
WEATHER RELATED CANCELLATIONS:

Hurricanes or severe weather: both stays and experiences will be canceled with no penalty. Rain is not severe weather however experiences can be canceled or rescheduled due to rain.
Stays (RV, Farmhouse and Wagons) will not be canceled or rescheduled due to rain, especially on holiday weekends. Weather forecasts are made up to 10 days in advance, please plan accordingly.

EXPERIENCES:

Cancellations 4-5 days prior to an experience 50% refundable.
Cancellations 6 or more days prior, 100% refundable.
Cancellations less than 3 days prior to experiences, not weather related, NO REFUNDS.
RESCHEDULING: Rescheduling is free for the first reschedule. Each reschedule after the first will be subject to a 10% fee, except for weather related re-schedules which incur no penalties. 24 hours is required for a reschedule.

STAYS:

Cancellations for stays less than 3 (0-3)days before your stay, NO REFUNDS except for cleaning fee and taxes.
Cancellations for stays 4-5 days before your stay, 50% refundable including 100% of cleaning fees and taxes.
Cancellations 6 or more days before scheduled stays will be 100% refundable.

Your cancellation fees will be considered a donation and they will be tax deductible as allowed by law. ALL proceeds help us care for the animals, we appreciate your cooperation.
